I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
